The MycoTOX test from Mosaic Diagnostics is a urine-based assay focused on 40 species of mold from 11 mycotoxins. It applies advanced mass spectrometry combined with liquid chromatography (LC/MS/MS) to test urine samples for very low levels of toxins. Mosaic Diagnostics has also developed artificial intelligence software to improve the detection levels of chromatographic peaks.
Mycotoxins are metabolites produced by fungi-like mold, which can infest vehicles, buildings, home contents and food products. Most mycotoxin exposures in the world are through airborne exposure, and are some of the most prevalent toxins in the environment.
